A few years ago I bought an 8x10 camera complete with some plate holders from a friend. A little research showed the camera, a Kodak Favorite, dated from 1899 - 1903. The supplied lens dated from the 1930's, there was no lens board and the bellows leaked. after a couple of years restoration the camera was put back together with a lens dating from about 1905.
So far I have shot three plates, as you can see, I have some learning to do but with time I'm sure I'll improve.
